DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. The ideal candidate will automate deployment processes, monitor system performance, and ensure the reliability, security, and availability of applications and infrastructure.
You will work closely with the development, QA, and IT teams to streamline software delivery, optimize cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and implement DevOps best practices to support seamless application deployment and operations.
Responsibilities
1. Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain application servers in Linux environments for development, staging, UAT, and production deployments.
2. Configure and manage web servers such as Nginx and Apache to host and serve web applications securely and efficiently.
3. Deploy and manage applications developed using Node.js, React.js, Laravel/PHP, and other web technologies.
4. Configure application runtime environments, dependencies, environment variables, services, and required server packages.
5. Set up and maintain databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis based on project requirements.
6. Configure SSL/TLS certificates, HTTPS, domains, subdomains, DNS, firewalls, and server security policies.
7. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
8. Configure and manage Git-based deployment workflows using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar version control platforms.
9. Set up process managers and application services to ensure applications automatically restart and remain available after server reboots or failures.
10. Monitor server resources, application performance, logs, uptime, disk utilization, CPU usage, and memory consumption.
11. Troubleshoot and resolve server downtime, deployment failures, network issues, application errors, database connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Linux server administration, application deployment, or a related role.
3. Strong knowledge of Linux server environments, including Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or similar distributions.
4. Hands-on experience in setting up and deploying web applications on Linux-based servers.
5. Strong understanding of Nginx and/or Apache web server configuration.
6. Experience deploying and managing Node.js, React.js, PHP/Laravel, or similar web applications.
7. Good knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
8. Experience with Git, GitHub version-control-based deployment workflows.
9. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices for automated application deployment.
10. Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment is preferred.
11. Understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, TCP/IP, ports, firewalls, reverse proxies, load balancing, and basic networking concepts.
